Day 1
1.  Introduction to Lean Management
        -  Concept and Important.
2.  Organization current status to Lean – Information sharing from
     Initial Organizational Diagnosis.
3.  Continuous Process Improvement – 4M/PROSES/OUTPUT     
4.  Lean System  vs. Kaizen Application
        -  Views from the gurus
        -  The lean view of kaizen
        -  Problem solving & PDCA
5.  Non value added (NVA) vs. value added (AV) activities in a process.
6.  Lean improvement methodology

Day 2
1.  Waste Elimination
        -  Identifying the big 7 wastes
        -  Muda, Mura & Muri
2.  Gemba activities application for process improvement.
3.  Enhancing 5S system linked to Lean Program
4.  Process Measurement via Key Performance Indicators
5.  Continuous Improvement Programme
        -  ESS, 5S, ICC, Visual Management, etc
6.  Developing and Establishing 5S/Kaizen/Lean implementation plan.

methodology

Emphasis is given to real-world applications through participation and inputs from the participants. Through this approach participants would be able to relate and observe the learned principles with actual working exposures. It is hoped that principles learned will be reinforced, and eventually increases the retention level to accommodate a better transfer of learning at the workplace.

 Therefore, other than the usual trainer presentation, the programme utilises participative training techniques, which include group discussion, self-assessment exercises, lectures, and case study.

COURSE FACILITATOR - MR. AHMAD NASAR JOHARI

MR. AHMAD NASAR JOHARI graduated from Western Michigan University, USA - Masters of Science in Operations Research (1997) and University Malaya in B.Econ.Hons (1982).

Nasar has more than 25 years of post-graduate working experience which includes 4 years (2003-2006) as Operations Training Manager with the British American Tobacco (M) Berhad, 6 years (1998-2003) as TQM Manager in Texchem Group of Companies and more than 15 years (1983-1998) with Malaysia Productivity Corporation as trainer, coordinator and consultant. Currently he is fulltime into providing training and consultancy in the areas of management development especially in the areas of productivity and quality improvement.

He had attended various overseas training programs related to productivity and quality in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Dhaka, & Philippines. 

Whilst he was working as Operations Training Manager in British American Tobacco (M) Berhad his core areas were Productivity & Quality improvement projects where he was responsible to guide while implementing improvement projects systematically in order to achieve Cost Savings in the Operation System of the business. This was in line with the organization’s strategies i.e to stay competitive locally and globally. Additionally, his main assignment was to also assist the management in developing and creating the roles and responsibilities of change agents in identifying and carrying out strategies of change effectively in meeting the organizational goals and objectives.

He also had extensive experience as a trainer, coordinator, and consultant while attached with Malaysian Productivity Corporation. He started as a trainer in Management and Development program, and later progressed into the area of Productivity & Quality initiatives such as; Quality Management Excellence Awards-QMEA, Shop floor Management Programs Super 5S Engineering, Kaizen Application, Waste Management System, Visual Management Control and Innovative & Creative Circle.

Currently, he is actively conducting training programs as mentioned above and his clients are from the private and public organizations. He is also involved in consulting activities and these will depend on the needs of the clients. He seeks to offer high quality services, ensures higher productivity and adding value to the client company.
