MR. TAN POR SING

Placeholders Chief Consultant and Trainer of Quality Dynamics Consultancy Sdn Bhd., Mr. Tan has a total of more than 29 years of postgraduate working experience with more than 25 years as a trainer and consultant in the area of Quality and Productivity Improvement.Mr. Tan also has 4 years of hands-on experience managing a production department in a manufacturing company.

Mr. Tan has extensive experience in the Training and Implementation of Operational and Improvement Techniques such as TQM, QCC, SPC, ISO 9000, 5S, Work Study and many others. He is one of the pioneers in the implementation and training of QCC and TQM in Malaysia. A former trainer and consultant with National Productivity Corporation, Mr. Tan had received extensive professional trainings and also presented many papers on productivity and quality improvement in countries like Japan, Australia, The Netherlands, India, Taiwan, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and also locally. Mr. Tan is a life member of Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (Japan).

Placeholders A Mechanical Engineer by training, Mr. Tan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Strathclyde University, Scotland in 1976 and Master of Science (with Distinction) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the Warwick University, England in 1993.

Mr. Tan clientele's list of training and consultancy works include Intel, Samsung, Sime Darby, Infineon Technologies, Western Digital, Matsushita, B Braun Medical Industries, Pioneer Technology, Epson Precisions (Johor), Petronas Gas, Pan Century Oleo Chemical, Celcom, Resorts World, TNB, Telekom Malaysia, White Horse Ceramic Industries, EPA Management, Gas Malaysia, Antara Steel, Maxis, Faber Mediserve and other local and MNCs companies.

Mr. Tan was a Lead Auditor of the Technical Audit Team in the yearly Prime Minister Quality Award and Quality Management Excellence Award for over 10 years (1990 - 2000). Some of the companies that had been audited by him include Intel Malaysia, Infineon Technologies, Telekom, Petronas Penapisan, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Shell Refinery, IBM Malaysia, Hewlett Packard Sales, American Express, Dell Asia Penang, AMD, Proton and many other organizations.

Mr. Tan was also a Chief Judge in NPC National and Regional QCC Conventions. He had also judged MAMPU National QCC Convention, The National QCS-IT Convention of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, National TCS Convention of Telekom Malaysia, National QCC Convention of Intel, Motorola and many other QCC conventions of other multi-national and local companies.

Mr. Tan represented Malaysia as a National Quality Management Award Expert in the National Quality Management Awards Round-Table Conference (1999) at Japan Productivity Center (JPC), Tokyo, which was sponsored by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). A qualified ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems and EMS auditor, he has helped many organizations to be ISO 9001 certified. Mr. Tan also holds an internationally recognized blue-card as a practitioner in Methods-Time Measurement technique from the United Kingdom M-TM Association.

Mr. Tan is proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

DR. SATHIVALU ANNAMALAI

Placeholders Sathivalu graduated from the University of Malaya in 1971 with a Bachelors Degree (Hons.). Later, he completed a Diploma in Management program from Malaysian Institute of Management. His Master Degree in Human Resource Development is from Universiti Putra, Malaysia. He completed a Doctorate in Business Administration program from Preston University, United States of America. He has also attended various specialized training programs.

He has more than 30 years of working experience in various capacities both in the public and the private sectors. His working experience includes being a graduate teacher, senior officer, hotel director, project manager, department head, industrial relations manager, college head, consultant, lecturer and a trainer. Currently he is a consultant trainer to a number of organizations for whom he has developed and conducted many training programs. For the University Malaya Centre of Continuing Studies (UMCED), he developed the program contents for the Certificate in Management; the Diploma in Management and the Diploma in Business Administration programs. He has tutored candidates from Bangladesh and Cambodia under the Technical and Vocational Educational Project and given orientation talks to students from United States of America.

Placeholders Having had hands on experience in various capacities, his areas of expertise include Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Industrial Relations, Customer Service, Management Development, Organizational Development, Teambuilding, Leadership, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Secretarial Development, Managing for High Performance, and etc.

MR. JAMES LOW SAY SUN

Placeholders Mr. James Low Say Sun was involved in human resource training for more than 17 years and the training manager of an international semiconductor company before he retired in the year 2000 and ventured into full-time professional human resources training and consulting. He brings with him more than 30 years of leadership and teambuilding experience from the manufacturing environment having worked in multinational companies from the East and West at supervisory and managerial level. Low was in Production before he moved into HR.

He has conducted training programs for thousands of executives as well as support staff in his previous company in the skill areas of Supervision, Leadership, Team Building, Self-Managed Teams, Problem-solving, Decision-making, Improving Work Performance, QCC, QC Tools, Train-The-Trainer, Training Needs Analysis, Change Management, Juran's Quality Improvement concepts and other programs.

James is a certified trainer on supervisory and leadership programs and was the master trainer on supervision for his company sites in Asia . His work has taken him to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore as well as U.S. He has received training in Japan and is a member of Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (Japan).

Placeholders James Low has sat as an advisory member in the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) and Selangor Human Resource Development Centre(SHRDC) and was also a member of the FMM-IM Networking Group for Training Personnel where he was able to share his experiences and advice with others. He was in the team that was instrumental in helping his previous company (Texas Instruments Malaysia) win the National Quality Management Award. He has developed Competency Models for various kind of jobs in his work company. James Low has also been an advisor in the Young Entrepreneur program organized by the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) for school children. He is also mentioned in the book "Business Without Bosses" by American authors Charles C Manz and Henry P Sims Jr.

James's workshops are action-packed and has been given excellent ratings by participants. In one of his workshops, he was rated a perfect "10".

DR. ZAITUN SULAIMAN

Placeholders Dr. Zaitun facilitates training programs specializing in the areas of Effective Coaching and Counseling Skills for Managers, Building Positive Attitude and Personality, Stress Management and the Art of Managing People at workplace (Supervisory and Leadership Skills). Besides facilitating management training workshops to employees of corporate and government sectors she also provides individual and group psychotherapy services specializing in women issues, important to women.

Her academic achievements include a PhD in Theocentric Psychology from LaSalle University USA. She is the author of the book entitled “Say Something Nice”, a guide towards building a meaningful relationship in marriage. A TV personality, Dr Zaitun is also one of the advisors to the Juvenile Court, vice-president of Malaysian Psychotherapy Association, a Secretary General of Malaysian Women Entrepreneur Association (Peniagawati) and a Practicing Psychotherapist registered with the Malaysian Society For Complementary Therapies (0P-0836) which is an umbrella body recognized by the Ministry of Health as representing practitioners of non-drug (medical) therapies.

MR. DAVID WONG HEN SANG

Placeholders David Wong Hen Sang, has been involving in training, consultancy and auditing experience in the field of Quality and Environmental Management since 1996. Prior to the abovementioned experiences, he was working in various industries with experiences including international marketing, chemical process engineering and ISO 9001 & 14001 management representative.

Graduated with a degree in Bachelor Engineering in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.

PN. HAMIDAH HASHIM

Placeholders Pn. Hamidah is an independent training consultant and has a unique background in management, accounting and banking. She has over twelve years experience in personal and management development, communication and entrepreneurial development. Pn. Hamidah pursued I.C.S.A. in ITM (1980-1984) where she was offered a scholarship by the then BBMB. She then worked for more than eight years in operations and training with the Bank. It was during this time that she obtained a Certificate in Training & Development (ITD, U.K.) and attended the Diploma course in Training Management. She also attended the consultancy programme “Loyalty Management” in Oslo, Norway.

Placeholders Her training experience include conducting numerous public seminars in Management Development, Communication and Finance during her short stint with SMR Sdn Bhd, a HR Consultancy company. Some other organisations which have benefited her in-house training are TM Net, Mayban Finance, Avon Cosmetics, PETRONAS, PROTON, AAM, Matsushita Group, American Home Assurance, Akademi Percukaian Negara, Sharp-Roxy, Yayasan Sabah and Kementerian Pembangunan Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Ms. Hashim's forte is in personal skills which include customer service, counselling, communication, presentation and Train-the-Trainer. She has also appeared on RTM's “Selamat Pagi Malaysia” to speak on topics like Personal Change and Communication Skills.

Her other training experience is as an active volunteer and board member with AFS/ABM International & Intercultural programmes where she conducts workshops on cross-cultural learning for Malaysian families and foreign students. She has also made a presentation on “cross-cultural adaptation skills” in Dunedin, New Zealand for an international conference attended by participants in the Pacific region.

MR. CYRIL PAGADALA

Mr Cyril Pagadala has a BA (English) and MA (Human Resources Management). He has vast experience of more than 18 years in the field of human resource management in various industries: banking, manufacturing, hospitality, tourism, and publications. This is followed by many years of lecturing and corporate training experience.

He started off his career with the then United Asian Bank, KL (now Bumiputra Commerce Bank); and moved on to the Raintree Club, KL; Moldip (M) Sdn Bhd, Pahang (subsidiary of Perrili Tyres Italy) manufacturing rubber gloves; and Sri Arteesee Sdn Bhd, Malacca a corporate group of companies with businesses in the hotel, tourism, petrol, stone quarry, and publishing industries among others where he was the Director of Human Resources and Administration.

During his long HR management career he was involved in the whole gamut of human resources management services from recruiting and selecting employees and administration of benefits to termination of employees at all levels of employees. He was responsible for start-up operations of the Group HR Department at the Sri Arteessee Group of Companies and initiated new HR policies in other companies.

He was involved in industrial relations matters with employee trade unions such as the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) and Club Employees' Union, Selangor; in terms of conflict resolutions and collective agreements amongst others. He lectured at various colleges for both local and foreign qualifications.

He is now a corporate trainer conducting both in-house and public programmes in Human Resources Management, Employment Laws, Personal Development, Customer Relations & Service, Business English and related areas.

Some of the companies he trained were: Tenaga National Berhad (TNB), ASTRO, Gunung Seraya Wood Products Sdn Bhd, Macnels (M) Sdn Bhd, Penanshin Shipping Sdn Bhd, Tantech Sdn Bhd, Watertec (M) Sdn Bhd, Lam Seng Plastic Sdn Bhd, Shun-I Wood Sdn Bhd, Vitar Bros Sdn Bhd, Senju (M) Sdn Bhd, Hotel Singgahsana, Inti College, Shin-Etsu Polymer (M) Sdn Bhd.

MR. GERALD PERIES

Gerald Peries received his Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University, USA. He has over 12 years experience in Training and Lecturing for various business organisation and private colleges. His areas of expertise are in Finance and Accounting.He combines a wide range of practical and hands-on training experience in a challenging and interactive environment.

Placeholders At present he is actively involved in lecturing on several M.B.A. and Degree programs, affiliated with Edith Cowan University, University of Ballarat, University of Sunderland, Northumbria University and several other universities. He also regularly conducts training programs on effective cash flow management, investment decision making, costing skills for effective decision making and fundamentals of financial accounting.

Prior to this, he served as a Finance Manager for a large engineering company for five years where he was responsible for making investment, financing and working capital decisions.

His specific duties among others was :
